The Tim Horton Children’s Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to fostering within our children the quest for a brighter future. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team this summer as a kitchen employee. You will work in a dynamic and fun environment where the goal is to feed children healthy meals.
Responsible to : Food Service Manager
Desired Competencies :
•Desire and genuine interest to work in a food service area
•Ability to learn to do tasks as assigned
•Ability and ready to work as members of a team
•Ability to accept supervision
General Responsibilities :
•Washing, peeling and cutting vegetables as needed
•Cleaning meats, fish and poultry
•Mix juice and serve juice, milk and water
•Prepare salads, fruit platters or similar
•Wash dishes, glasses, silverware, pots and pans by hand and / or machine
•Sweep and mop kitchen and vacuum the dining hall (if needed)
•Take out trash from kitchen and dining hall to dumpster
•Help unload supply truck and put supplies away, rotate stocks as requested
•Clean spillage in kitchen or dining hall
•Clean ovens and stoves
•Keep pot-washing area and floor clean
•Keep dishwashing area and floor clean. Straighten counter and clean after each meal
•Help in any area of kitchen or dining hall as requested by chef and or food service manager
•The above tasks are representative but not all-inclusive
